Resources for Recording Artists

Producers

- It's hard to make songs without instrumentals, having a personal producer or a few producers to work with is great, but often times it's hard to find that connection, especially when your just starting off. As we move forward we would like to find a way for more artists to get in contact with more producers but for now, we'd suggest these here

Beatstars - Website/App where Producers sell instrumentals

https://www.beatstars.com

Airbit - Website where Producers sell instrumentals

https://airbit.com

Music Distributors

- The middle man between artists and streaming platforms. After you finish your project upload your music to your account with the service of your choosing, then they send it to Apple Music, Spotify, Youtube Music, etc. These services then collect your royalties for you to withdraw whenever you are ready.

(These are some of our top picks for artists in the beginning stages but do your own research to find what's best for you!)

Distrokid (using this link donates $10 to Dipherent Records and a 7% for your first year)

CD Baby - (they offer physical sales, Vinyl, CDs, USB Drives..., along with your streaming service but you have to pay ahead of time)

Tunecore - (using this link offers you 20% off your next renewal

Music Statistics

- What's the point of releasing music if you can't see the statistics? Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon as well as a few others have artist accounts that allow you to get access to your statistic from a professional perspective. It shows you what cities your audience is from, what songs are more favorited by the day, weeks, months...

Spotify for Artist - They allow you to submit to verified playlists if you pitch your song a week before it releases.

Amazon Music For Artists

Multi-Links

- Often times Social media platforms such as Instagram, Tik Tok, and Twitter only allow one link in your bio. This can be inconvenient when you are trying to promote multiple things at a time, from your music to a music video plus your other social media platforms. Multi-Links help you manage that! Example https://linktr.ee/DipherentRecords

Linktree

Manylink

Merchandise

- Merchandise is a key part of making money as an artist along with doing shows. Not only does it bring money it allows your audience to show their taste in music and their support for you physically by wearing your merchandise. Merchandise helps you promote your music without being there. So how can you do that without breaking the bank?

Shows Concerts

- In all honesty, were trying to figure this out for ourselves as well, we have explored some avenues and opportunities and are still in testing while others didn't seem as beneficial for the artist but we'll keep you posted. We are going to start doing interviews with artists and potentially managers as well, to see if they can speak on this subject as well. In the meantime, we'd say try to host your own event with some fellow artists and current supporters. Test yourself and your community to see how much they believe in you. It doesn't have to be big it doesn't have to be perfect a lot of it is trial and error! So don't wait on us to move forward then let us know how it went. We are also working on making a Contact Us page so you can send in questions suggestions tips and more! But for now, tag us on Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok... for any new info about how things are going for you and what you've learned, so the rest of the community can pick up on it.
